Salute to Youth 40th Anniversary Winners Announced! Santa Clara County’s “Salute to Youth” Awards were presented Tuesday, March 29, 2016 80 Students and 13 Mentors received recognition and scholarships at the Awards Banquet

March 31, 2016, San Jose, CA “Salute to Youth” is a prestigious youth awards program honoring young people of merit for their outstanding accomplishments. The program awards over $5,000 in educational scholarships. The competition is open to young people in Santa Clara County between the ages of 9 and 21 who have achieved or accomplished something of significance that sets that individual apart. In addition, adults who have contributed to the welfare and vitality to the youth of the community can be nominated for a “Youth Mentor Hall of Fame Award.” In addition, the following special awards were presented:

Youth Focus, Inc. is a non-profit organization in San Jose, California that provides well-structured programs and competitions to benefit the youth in our community and provide scholarships for higher education. It was started more than 46 years ago with the goal to engage young people in activities and programs and recognize their accomplishments.
