Stratford School – Connecting students to their bright futures

The curiosity to reach. The courage to grasp™

When children are inspired, amazing things happen. Stratford School is an independent, private preschool through middle school with 19 campuses in the Bay Area. Stratford provides an academic enriched program in a fun, collaborative, and engaging school environment. In addition to its visionary core curriculum, Stratford features

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), foreign language, fine arts, and music programs designed to ensure children become confident and successful learners, innovators, problem solvers, and leaders.

WHAT SETS STRATFORD APART FROM OTHER PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN CALIFORNIA?

According to Sherry Adams, Stratford School Founder, “We do more than just teach- our staff truly touches children’s hearts and lays a foundation for them to become lifelong learners. We truly are a family, and parents are a critical part of that family.”

Beginning in preschool, Stratford’s curriculum is designed to develop the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical building blocks to last a lifetime. Hands-on, multi-sensory activities, including Imaginative STEAM Play, encourage preschoolers to play and share with others, while developing their self-confidence. Stratford teachers enrich the academic lessons with the “fun factor,” so each child discovers the joy and excitement of learning. The teacher to student ratio for preschool and prekindergarten is 1:12, and specialty teachers for Spanish and Science support a personalized educational approach. Stratford’s accelerated core curriculum exceeds California’s Academic State Standards and motivates students to become critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and proficient writers. A rich balance of art, music, history, science, physical education, and foreign language programs provide students with a well-rounded education that is further enhanced by each teacher’s creative and individualized approach to learning. Small class sizes ensure a positive learning experience with a teacher to student ratio of 1:15 for kindergarten, and 1:22 for elementary and middle school classes.

Middle School continues the Stratford tradition of excellence. Stratford prepares and mentors students for admission to top private high schools, or advanced placement in public high schools. The robust Middle School curriculum delivers a broad base of knowledge that’s rich in vocabulary, analytical thinking, and consistent instruction. Stratford balances the curriculum with art, music, STEM, physical education, and foreign language.

AT STRATFORD, ACADEMIC SUCCESS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.

“We want our children to have high academic outcomes that will prepare them for any future job, including life skills like teamwork and collaboration. Living in the heart of Silicon Valley, Stratford School is where tradition meets the 21st century,” said Sherry Adams. Stratford students are accepted to exceptional public, private, and independent high schools throughout the Bay Area. For a complete list of high schools, please visit www.stratfordschools. com.
